On Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, the Jovilius Heart Foundation team took to the streets of downtown Houston to bring essential services and support to our neighbors in need. Our Homeless Shelter Outreach program aimed to provide a helping hand and a message of hope to those struggling with homelessness.

Our dedicated team, consisting of volunteers and staff, set up a makeshift service center at Downtown, Pearland, Texas, offering:

• Food packs
• Care and hygiene packs containing:
  • Sanitary towels
  • Toothbrushes
  • Sanitary pads
  • Other essential items

We were humbled by the number of individuals who came seeking assistance, and we were grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives. Our team distributed over 100 food packs alongside care and hygiene packs, providing a small but vital measure of comfort and dignity to those who need it most.

One of the individuals we met, Damron Remington, shared their heartfelt appreciation for the support. “Thank you for treating me like a person, not just a statistic. These small gestures mean the world to me.”

Our outreach program is a testament to the power of community and compassion. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic human needs, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to support those experiencing homelessness in Houston.
